Today we talked about Extreme and Absolute adjectives. What are they?

Extreme adjectives are not gradable - it´s the highest expression of the quality:
cold - a bit cold - quite cold - very cold (gradable adjective - possible to give a grade of "coldness")
freezing (non-gradable - impossible to give a grade)

Absolute adjectives are those that are either "yes" or "no" - no grades:
dead - alive
possible - impossible etc.

Read the rules of using extreme and absolute adjectives and practise using them:

We also learnt some set phrases with "to feel":
to feel sad, happy, angry etc.
BUT: to be in panic, to have fear and to be obsessive.


Also we started Second Conditional.
